Our History

2001

We founded EasySpeedy (ASERGO). In an era where self-service was uncommon. We provided a Dashboard with server reboot, OS installation, recovery, invoicing...

2002

After we saw increased demand for low-end servers, we extended our product program with more powerful servers.

2003

Due to the increasing demand for our services, we decided that it was time to upgrade our backbone and redundant network infrastructure significantly.

2004

Sun Microsystems became our primary server supplier.

2005

As more data center floor was needed, we took this opportunity to move to a larger and better-equipped data center outside Copenhagen, Denmark.

2006

We started to arrange our infrastructure in silos, which now is generally called availability-zones .

2007

Shared ISCSI block storage for bare metal servers launched. Our storage solution utilized redundant iSCSI-based Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System.

2008

The Danish Technology University Science Park (Scion-DTU) accepted our company and allowed us to relocated our offices into this high-technology environment.

2009

KVM over IP and Private Network became a standard feature of our hosting platform

2010

We welcome Supermicro and Fujitsu servers into our product range.

2011

Oracle acquired Sun Microsystems in 2010 , and we ended our corporation with Sun Microsystems .

2012

10 Gigabit connectivity between servers in Private Network became the default for high-end servers.

2013

The new primary server supplier Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT) , is introduced into our data center.

2014

We open our second data center in Berlin, Germany.

2015

Kubernetes became our platform of choice for all our internal services and back-office applications.

2016

We expanded the use of Kubernetes to include vital hosting services. Everything is running in a full development / staging / production CI environment.

2017

Same company different name. We changed our company name from EasySpeedy to ASERGO.
Our third data center opened in Copenhagen, Denmark.

2018

Launch of bare-metal Kubernetes product line, enabling our customers to take advantage of our experience with Kubernetes.

2019

Launch of data center interconnects and off-site NFS file storage service.

2020

We started offering assistance with continuous integration and development as well as help customers porting legacy applications to Kubernetes.

2021

Our Kuberentes stack was reworked right from the hosting hardware to the full application stack

2022 - So far

The best of PaaS and KaaS has merged into our new V3 Kubernetes. Auditing, Backup, and archiving are now PaaS services.

Contribution to open-source software

We are avid users of open-source software, and we like to give back to the community by actively helping with projects that we use ourselves. We host a public download mirror for several open-source projects.
